Friday 23rd November - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – Cloudy, light rain and windy.

With Storm Bert hitting the UK over the weekend with rain and 50 mph winds I will give windsurfing a miss especially as our son is here on a visit, perhaps I can get out on Monday when the wind eases ? As today was cloudy with some rain I had time to do my exercises as with Rob out looking for books in the charity shops. Then after lunch with the south wind increasing but no rain we all decided to head down to the seafront for a walk, we walked a short distance into the wind to walk around the pier to watch the rough sea and gulls making light of the strong winds! We then continued all the way to Jacobs Ladder, easy walking being pushed along by the wind, just brilliant, didn’t feel cold at all, it has warmed up from the recent cold spell with tomorrow reaching 15/17 degrees! We didn’t fancy walking back into the head wind so headed up Jacobs Ladder steps to the more sheltered back streets. A quick stop at the Co-op for donuts then home for a cuppa:)
